Ojai

"I determined to gather together all things of beauty and of culture, and preserve them here. It's my hope that we all find our Shangri-La." - Lost Horizon

Frank Capra wisely cast Ojai as Shangri-La in his 1937 film, Lost Horizon, and this little artists' community nestled between Los Angeles and Santa Barbara has been playing the part ever since. Peaceful. Quiet. Serene. Come to Ojai and you'll feel the stress ooze out from your shoulder blades. With a landscape and climate more like Tuscany than Southern California, this is a community dedicated to restoration of mind and body. Take in the shops, the galleries, the spas, the oak-shaded paths and you'll be living out the title of another Capra film: It's A Wonderful Life.
